Meet Pastor Moses

Pastor Moses Roopchand is the lead pastor of Compassion Ministries, with a heart for outreach, healing, and life transformation. Born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies, he answered the call to ministry at age 21 after encountering Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit.

After migrating to the United States in 1986, Pastor Moses balanced a 33-year professional career with faithful, hands-on ministry. Alongside his wife, Patsy, he has served in evangelism, worship, youth, and leadership for decades. Together, they ministered in Queens, New York, before relocating to Miami with their three children to continue their calling.

Pastor Moses has been entrusted with rebuilding their new Ministry Campus and today serves as an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God. In 2023, he stepped into full-time ministry and now leads Compassion Ministries in Homestead, Florida a church committed to impacting lives through the power and presence of God.

His passion is simple: to see people encounter God, grow in faith, and walk in purpose.

As Scripture says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6).

Our Children’s Ministry is one of the most vital and intentional areas of Compassion Ministries. We believe the next generation matters deeply, especially in a world that constantly competes for their hearts and minds.

That’s why we are committed to building a strong spiritual foundation in every child while reinforcing the values taught at home. We partner with parents to nurture faith, strengthen character, and support families every step of the way.

Our goal is to raise a generation that loves God, respects others, and grows into responsible, purpose-driven individuals who make a positive impact in the world.

Our mission is to cross every cultural, social, economic, and denominational boundary creating a place where everyone can encounter Jesus and experience His love with compassion.
